Hugh Morris, President

Hugh Morris is the founder of the Academy for Hypnotic Studies.  The Academy for Hypnotic Studies is dedicated to the study, practice and teaching of traditional and Ericksonian Hypnosis.

Hugh is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.  He completed three combat tours in Korea and Vietnam and holds a number of decorations and service medals.  He also holds a bachelor degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a masters degree in Humanistic Psychology from Pacific Western University. 

Hugh created the Academy for Hypnotic Studies based on his more than 30 years of private practice in therapeutic hypnosis.  Hugh served as adjunct hypnotist with the Oncology Department at Brooke Army Medical Center and is a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, the American Board of Hypnotherapy and the Primary Activation Institute of New Zealand.  He has also taught hypnosis for more than 20 years, delivered lectures on the topic at universities and published a number of articles.

The Academy for Hypnotic Studies offers professional workshops in Beginning Ericksonian Hypnosis, Advanced Therapeutics, Stress Profiling, The Hypnotic Affect Reversal Technique (H.A.R.T.), and Pain Control for Professionals.  It also provides One-on-One Hypnosis Sessions.

Hugh is also founder of Total Focused Golf.   Total Focused Golf provides golfers of all ages and abilities with the mental skills that allow them to make the most of their innate abilities in golf, and in life.  He has worked with a number of players on the PGA, Nike, Canadian and LPGA tours as well as a number of prominent teaching professionals, collegiate, junior and amateur golfers.

 Chari Morris

Chari Morris is a certified teacher and graduate of Southern Colorado State University with a double major in English and Children's Theater and a minor in Elementary Education.  Chari is a certified teacher specializing in early childhood education.  She has developed curriculums for children three through pre-kindergarten and has served as director of a childhood learning center. 

 Chari has graduate training from the University of Colorado and the University of Texas at San Antonio.  For the past 20 years, Chari has been involved in the development of the Academy for Hypnotic Studies, The Personal Growth Center and Total Focused Golf.  She is a certified Reiki Master and has been practicing and teaching Reiki for the past 5 years.
